Mike Covington is a native-born San Diegan with an appetite for all that the city has to offer. Mike is a big fan of the local craft beer and restaurant scene, and often looks for new things to try and experiences to be enjoyed. He is also a video game enthusiast, a film aficionado and a lover of baseball, with his favorite team being the San Diego Padres.
Mike graduated from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Theater. Upon graduating, Mike entered the legal field by enrolling in the University of San Diego’s Paralegal Program. Mike graduated and earned his Paralegal certificate from USD in 2016. After spending almost a year with the Civil Branch of the San Diego Sheriff’s Department, Mike came to work at Gupta Evans and Associates.
Mike works closely alongside the attorneys on each of the firm’s cases, handles many of the day to day aspects of the office and is the primary point of contact for the firm. Mike handles 90% of the bankruptcy practice and assists with litigation and accounting for the firm.
What do you do when you’re not working?
When Mike is not working, he enjoys binge watching movies, playing video games, and swimming.
If you were to look back from the age of 80 and tell yourself anything what would it be?
Mike would tell himself to not spend so much time sweating the little things.
What’s one fact about your education or upbringing that few people know?
Mike was originally a theater major, but later he switched to Political Science.
What are two things on your bucket list?
1. Travel to Japan
